Beacon Health System is hiring a part-time Nutritional Aide for the Nutritional Services Department at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. You will perform a variety of cafeteria duties under supervision, including serving meals, handling cash, stocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.

The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and adherence to food safety guidelines. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, be at least 17, and have prior food service

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Must be at least 17 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to staff, patients, and visitors in a fast-paced cafeteria environment.
• Operate cash registers, process transactions accurately, balance cash drawers, and assist with daily cash deposits.
• Serve food and beverages to customers while maintaining quality, presentation, and service standards.
• Stock, replenish, and organize food, beverage, and retail inventory to ensure product availability.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain cafeteria equipment and vending units as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining, serving, storage, and work areas in accordance with food safety standards.
• Complete routine cleaning schedules, including daily, weekly, and periodic deep-cleaning tasks.
• Support food service operations through product restocking, inventory management, and general departmental assistance.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, food safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in departmental meetings, required training, and special projects as assigned.
• Maintain flexibility to work varying schedules, overtime, and additional shifts as needed
