Job summary

TaraVista Behavioral Health in Devens, MA is hiring a Nutritional Aide for a full-time, 32-hour week on the day shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with every other weekend included. You will assist the Food Service Director with dietary tasks and follow established dietary policies.

You will work with the facility's dietitian as needed, follow ServSafe hygiene procedures, help serve meals, perform routine cleaning, and assist cooks with snacks and stocking units.

Qualifications

• High school education preferred.
• Basic reading and writing skills preferred.
• Previous experience in food service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals in a timely manner.
• Follow ServSafe hygiene procedures at all times.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties.
• Clean work areas and refrigerators/freezers as needed.
• Assist cook in preparing snacks, sandwiches, salads.
• Deliver/serve food to designated units and stock pantries.

As a Nutritional Aide at TaraVista in Devens, MA you will assist the Food Service Director with dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures.

• Work with the facility's dietitian as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.
• Follow ServSafe hygiene procedures at all times.
• Assist in serving meals as necessary and on a timely basis.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Clean work areas and refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Assist cook in preparing snacks, sandwiches, tossed salads, fruit salad.
• Deliver/serve food to designated units. Stock unit pantries, nursing stations, water and fruit area.
• Perform dish washing/cleaning procedures. Assure that utensil, etc., are readily available for next meal.

Successful Nutritional Aide candidates will have the following:

• Education/Training: High school education preferred.
• Basic reading and writing skills preferred.
• Job Knowledge/Experience
• Preferred: Previous experience in food service
• Preferred: Language/Writing/Communication

Pay Range

Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience.

$17.50-$19.27
