Job summary

Leprino Foods Company in Lubbock, TX is seeking a Nutrition Team Lead to guide department employees, ensure safe equipment operation, and uphold quality across raw materials, in-process, and finished products. You will supervise as part of the Nutrition Team to meet SOPs, GMPs, and safety standards.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, effective communication, and the ability to manage production metrics while coordinating with maintenance and other departments.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Manufacturing environment or team leadership experience.
• Mechanical skills/aptitude.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate others.
• Must communicate effectively in English and document work clearly.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Help ensure team members follow PSOPs, GMPs and safety procedures.
• Assist leadership to achieve production metrics.
• Operate and maintain equipment to target outputs and keep logs.
• Conduct daily inventory of silos, bins, and crystallizer levels; calibrate thermometers.
• Document changes and coordinate action plans for issues.
• Monitor ingredients and supplies for production readiness.
• Support adjustments to meet customer specifications.
• Communicate with operators, leads, and other departments.
• Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Complete GMP and housekeeping duties; follow safety rules.
• Ensure food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements per plans.
