Job summary

Leprino Foods in Lubbock invites an experienced Nutrition Team Lead to guide department employees toward producing the highest quality dairy products safely and efficiently. You will help ensure SOPs, GMPs, and safety rules are followed, while supporting training and maintaining equipment performance and sanitation.

The role requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on meeting customer specifications and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Manufacturing experience or prior team leadership.
• Mechanical skills/aptitude.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to motivate others.
• Effective written and verbal English communication; document in writing and electronic form.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist department leadership in advising and guiding department employees to meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
• Help ensure training on PSOPs, GMPs, and safety procedures.
• Monitor production metrics and equipment performance, and complete daily logs.
• Perform daily product inventory and calibrate crystallizer thermometers.
• Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance.
• Maintain sanitation and GMP housekeeping duties.
• Communicate clearly with operators, team leads, and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety Plan and Quality Plan.
