Job summary

Osseo Area School District ISD 279 seeks a Nutrition Assistant to support the Nutrition Manager in planning, preparing and serving meals while ensuring USDA and health guidelines are met. This role contributes to a positive kitchen team and community engagement.

Responsibilities include menu planning input, ordering, staffing, training, record keeping, and maintaining safety logs. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8 hours, full-time during the school year, with a focus on quality meals and

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Child Nutrition Certificate (Level I or above).
• Basic computer skills that include word processing, Excel, email and online ordering systems.

Responsibilities

• Participates in breakfast menu planning meetings to design menus that meet USDA requirements and maximize participation.
• In the absence of the Nutrition Manager, participates in lunch menu planning and district nutrition meetings.
• Assist in planning additional programs (Fruit/Vegetable Grant, After School Snack, Dinner, Summer Programs, Special Events).
• Ensures meals are served on time and maintains quality despite challenges.
