Job description

WBLAS Nutrition Services Department – Substitute Position

The department is looking for positive and energetic people who love children, are flexible, good team players, and willing to learn new skills in a fun and fast‑paced environment. No experience needed!

Hours: Vary based on location. Work shifts as needed throughout the department. The position is very flexible; you can choose your schedule! Most shifts range from 3-5 hours per day, school days only.

Wage: Starting at $19.00 per hour.

Closing Date: Candidates will be reviewed upon submission, with selection beginning no sooner than 5 days after posting. The position will remain open until suitable candidates have been found.

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Essential Functions

• Fast‑paced environment working to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks in accordance with the menu.
• Set up serving line, condiments, utensils, etc.
• Serve students during meal service.
• Clean and maintain the kitchen, operate the dish machine.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service to students, staff, parents, visitors, and the general public.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
