Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE: To provide nutritious, tasty meals to students and staff in a pleasant atmosphere.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Use standardized recipes; measure and mix ingredients according to recipe while using a variety of kitchen
Assist in the preparation of food according to guidelines, menu, and number of persons to be served.
Operate food service equipment correctly, safely, and
Follow Production Records to portion food on serving trays or dishes from counters and steam table to students, staff and
Provide good customer service while serving, smile, make eye contact and engage with customers.
Assist in keeping adequate food on serving
Assist in counting leftovers for recording on Production Records. Put away leftovers promptly. Cool and store them
Sort and wash dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and
Follow sanitation guidelines during preparation, serving and clean-up.
Assist in keeping areas and floors clean of spilled foods and other hazardou
Assist in cleaning kitchens, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning garbage cans, and cleaning stationary
Assist in cleaning steam tables and dining
Assist in record-keeping for his/her assigne
Check food supplies for weekly
Dress and takes part on special occasions
Exemplify high standards of ethical
Display tolerance necessary for accepting supervision for and criticism of job
Work in harmony with supervisory, faculty, and peer
Use professional information discreetly and
Support and follow administrative and board
Represent the school system to the community in a positive, professional
Maintain a sincere, friendly attitude toward parents and pupils to insure

Maintain emotional control under stress.

Frequent standing, walking, pushing, and pulling; moderate lifting and carrying (15-44 lbs.); some stooping, bending and kneeling.

Terms of Employment

Work year established by the Board; salary according to current schedule.

Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually.
