Job summary

Ivory Plains Recovery Center in Adair, IA is seeking a Manager of Food and Nutritional Services to oversee daily operations of the nutrition department. You will direct menu development, ensure nutritional adequacy, and supervise a skilled team to deliver meals for clients, staff, and guests.

The role requires strong leadership, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with dietitians and leadership to optimize operations and budgeting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Four or more years’ experience in food service; institutional preparation preferred.
• Must hold Serv Safe or similar food safety certification.
• Certified Dietary Manager or pursuing certification where required.

Responsibilities

• Determine amounts and types of food and supplies for daily menus and special diets.
• Develop menus and diets suitable for specific clients and ensure nutritional adequacy.
• Lead and manage a food services team including hiring, training and scheduling.
• Coordinate budget planning and monitor expenditures for the department.
• Ensure safe kitchen operations and compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
