Job summary

Bend-La Pine Schools is seeking a Nutrition Services II – Technician to support school kitchens with food preparation, serving, and supervision. You will help ensure safe, nutritious meals for students under the Nutrition Services department.

The role requires reading and following detailed instructions, supervising staff, and using meal software for transactions and records. A high school diploma or GED is required, with Oregon food safety certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a high school education or GED.
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple directions.
• Ability to supervise and train others in kitchen settings.
• Knowledge of USDA rules and sanitation standards.
• Experience with meal service software and cash handling.
• Oregon Food Handler’s Permit or ServSafe certification required/obtainable.
• Must have/obtain Oregon driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine food preparation.
