Job summary

Bend-La Pine Schools is seeking a part-time Nutrition Services II – Technician in Bend, Oregon. The role involves food serving, cooking, kitchen cleaning and supporting meal services for students with supervision under the Nutrition Services Supervisor.

Essential duties include ordering supplies, supervising kitchen staff, forecasting meals, cash handling and operating meal software. Requires high school diploma or GED and relevant certifications; driver’s license and ServSafe may be needed.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to a high school education or GED.
• Possess or obtain an Oregon Food Handler’s Permit or maintain ServSafe certification.
• Obtain and maintain certification under the Oregon School Food Services Certification Plan.
• Possess or obtain a valid Oregon driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Orders food and supplies for the assigned school.
• Supervises employees and students in the kitchen.
• Oversees food preparation and serving per specifications.
• Forecasts meal needs for the school.
• Performs cleaning, dishwashing, and related duties.
• Maintains records and processes meals accurately.
• Operates meal software and handles cash transactions.
• Ensures food safety and sanitation standards are met.
