Job summary

Garnet Hill Rehabilitation and Skilled Care in Wylie, TX seeks a Nutrition Services - Dietary Aide to assist the food service team in creating a positive dining experience for residents. Qualifications

• Food handlers’ card required.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Must have fundamental understanding of sanitations, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Must be able to tactfully communicate with co-workers, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Safe Food Handling: follows guidelines for food handling and storage, including all raw and prepared foods.
• Prepares food using standardized recipes and in the required amount specified by production worksheets and in accordance with special diet requirements.
• Uses available tools to ensure timely and correct meal production and portion control; pull, thaw and prep foods in advance of production needs.
• Ensures foods prepared are served within meal serving hours and that quality, temperature and appearance of food is preserved.
• Serves meals, performs daily cleaning of kitchen and equipment, and maintains sanitized work areas.
