Job summary

Hillcrest of North Dallas is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation, service, and cleanup for residents in the nursing center. The role supports cooks, helps with ordering and labeling nourishments, and ensures a sanitary dining room and kitchen throughout the day.

Qualifications

• One year’s work in a large-scale cooking operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with food ordering, storage and preparation as designated by the supervisor.
• Assists cooks as directed by the supervisor.
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entre foods into dishes; pours beverages.
• Follows production sheets and preparation guidelines.
• Pre-preparation such as washing, peeling and cutting vegetables and fruits.
• Cleans the kitchen and equipment; sweeps/mops floors; takes trash to dumpster.
• Washes dishes and silverware; maintains cleanliness of dishes and kitchen.

Education

Highschool diploma or equivalent
