Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Food Service Associate to maintain cleanliness of service areas, sanitize equipment, and support patient and customer dining experiences.

You will stock and maintain supplies, operate dish machines and cooking appliances, assist with food preparation and serving, and may handle cash as applicable. High school diploma required; prior food service experience preferred; strong communication and sanitation knowledge are essential.

Job Description: Essential Functions

Cleans and sanitizes equipment, tables, and work areas to maintain hygiene standards according to established procedures and standards. Assists with the stocking and maintenance of supplies and food items. Operates and maintains various equipment pertinent to food services, such as dish machines and cooking appliances. Ensures a positive experience for customers. May assist with the preparation and serving of food to customers. May operate cash registers and handle money as applicable.

Education Requirement

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Skills

Working knowledge of safe food handling practices and sanitation standards. Effective communication skills.

Experience

Food service experience, preferred.
