Spring Lake Park Schools is hiring a Part Time Nutrition Services Associate for Woodcrest Elementary Spanish Immersion. This entry-level role supports school dining operations, handling food prep, serving, cashier duties, and dish machine tasks.

The position emphasizes friendly, professional interaction with students and staff, adherence to SOP/HACCP, and ongoing training to meet district standards. Weekend or holiday coverage may apply.

Qualifications

• The successful candidate must have earned a high school diploma or equivalent.
• The successful candidate must complete and pass a background check and a pre-work physical.
• The successful candidate must provide and pass 3 professional reference checks.
• The successful candidate must have working knowledge of computers including email.
• Ability to pass a pre-work physical.
• Experience working in the food service industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Will perform duties as assigned by the kitchen manager including but not limited to; food prep, serve, cashier and operate a dish machine.
• Must maintain a friendly and professional attitude when interacting with all students, staff and co-workers.
• Must attend job-related training classes and workshops in order to meet the professional standards guidelines of 4 hours/year.
• Will follow Department Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP).
• Must maintain high standards and working knowledge of food safety and sanitation pursuant to the Minnesota Food Code.

Position Description;

TITLE: Part Time Nutrition Services Associate - entry level position

LOCATION: Woodcrest Elementary Spanish Immersion

HOURS: 4 HOURS/DAY

DUTY DAYS: 178 TOTAL Days - according to the school year calendar

168 STUDENT CONTACT DAYS

8 PAID HOLIDAYS

2 TRAINING DAYS

Wage/Benefits Information:

Additional $1.00/hr differential if employee holds Certified Food Protection Manager certification. Longevity pay $1.50-$2.75/hr
