Range 40; Schedule M; Step 1: $20.09 - Step 5: $24.14 Hourly
TYPE OF RECRUITMENT:
This is a PROMOTIONAL and OPEN recruitment to establish an eligibility list and fill vacancies. The eligibility list will be used to fill vacancies that may occur during the life of the eligibility list. Per agreement with our classified bargaining unit laid-off CVUHSD classified employees have a preference for reemployment to any vacant position for which they are qualified and apply. In a promotional and open recruitment, the promotional list shall take precedence. If the promotional list contains fewer than three eligible and willing ranks, certification of additional ranks shall be made from the open list.
TESTING PROCEDURE:
The examination process will consist of a written examination and an oral technical interview. Applicants will be notified of their application status via email.

Under the direction of a Cafeteria Manager or another assigned supervisor, prepare, warm, and serve hot and cold menu items to students and staff at an assigned school; maintain the kitchen and food service areas in a safe, clean and orderly condition.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience and training that likely would provide the required knowledge and skills is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and skill would be:
Experience:
At least six (6) months of experience in school, commercial, institutional or retail foodservice, or manufacturing.
Education:
Graduation from high school, or equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade, is desired but not required.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: Possession of or the ability to pass a ServSafe food handler certification test within the first six months of employment in this classification.
