Job summary

Cantex in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Nutrition Services Aide to support the delivery of nutrition services in a long‑term care setting. You may prepare and serve meals, assist with dining, wash dishes, and help with sanitation, while ensuring safety and patient satisfaction.

You will follow food safety regulations, complete logs, and help with tray assembly and nourishment delivery. A Current state Food Handler Certificate is preferred; English literacy is required; teamwork and compassion are

Qualifications

• Current state Food Handler Certificate is required or preferred.
• Experience in food service or dietary services is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Assures sanitation, food safety, and quality standards are met.
• Washes and sanitizes dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes kitchen equipment and food service equipment.
• Completes required logs and documentation as assigned.
• Prepares dining tables and patient room trays with appropriate tableware and condiments.
• Assists with food preparation, meal assembly, tray line operations, and portioning.
• Prepares and serves beverages for tray line operations and dining rooms.
• Performs cleaning and sanitation duties according to schedules.
• Delivers nourishments and nutritional supplements identified with patient labels.
• Maintains tray tickets and updates meal service information as directed.
