Job summary

HCH brand is seeking a Nutrition Services Aide and cook to join our hospital food service team in Napoleon, Ohio. The role involves preparing meals for patients, guests, and staff, answering the room service line, delivering trays, and supporting dishwashing and stocking tasks.

Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED (or equivalent), and ServSafe Certification is preferred. Prior food service experience and knowledge of therapeutic diets are advantageous.

Description

Responsibilities: A Nutrition Services Aide and cook prepare food for hospital patients, guests, customers and employees. They assist in washing dishes, answering the room service phone line, delivering patient trays, food preparation, food storage, cleaning, stocking, and operating the cash register.The Nutrition Services Aide must always follow safe food handling practices. In addition, the employee must understand prescribed therapeutic and modified diets.

Qualifications:It is preferred that the Nutrition Services Aide/Cook has a ServSafe Certification. It is also preferred that the Nutrition Services Aide/Cook has a High School diploma or equivalent training or up to one-year related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior experience in food service and commercial food preparation and following prescribed diets is preferred.
