Job summary

Morrison Healthcare is hiring a Nutrition Operator in Presque Isle, ME to manage patient meal selections and special requests by phone or in person. The role supports dietary needs and collaborates with nursing staff to ensure accurate diets are followed.

The position features full-time scheduling with 5:30 am–1:30 pm or 11:00 am–4:30 pm shifts, weekends rotating, and on-site work. Prior nutrition/dietary experience is preferred and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Previous nutrition and dietary experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows proper telephone etiquette with patients, visitors and healthcare professionals.
• Offers menu alternatives within prescribed diet guidelines and dietary restrictions.
• Resolves patient concerns or complaints promptly or reports to supervisor as needed.
• Ensures compliance with dietary restrictions and diet orders to meet patient needs.
• Coordinates with nursing to ensure patient diet prescriptions and needs are met.
• Upholds HIPAA and patient rights policies and sanitation requirements.
