Job summary

Providence House is seeking a Dietary Associate to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for residents, ensuring menus meet guidelines and portions meet standards. You will support CACFP documentation, inventory management, and kitchen organization to provide a welcoming dining experience.

Responsibilities include planning weekly menus, preparing meals and snacks, documenting substitutions, and maintaining compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to plan weekly menus following nutrition guidelines and CACFP requirements.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and portion control.
• Experience organizing inventories and coordinating donations.
• Ability to document substitutions and support monthly CACFP reporting.

Responsibilities

• Plan weekly menus aligned with nutrition guidelines and program rules.
• Prepare and serve meals and snacks per approved menus.
• Document substitutions and meal adjustments as required.
• Maintain daily menu worksheets to support CACFP billing and reporting.
• Ensure proper portion control and consistent meal presentation.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, proper storage, and equipment sanitation.
• Monitor temperatures of refrigerators/freezers and report issues.
• Receive, store, and track food donations; minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with CACFP and Food Bank guidelines; attend trainings.
