Job summary

Easter Seals in Georgia seeks a Nutrition Technician to prepare meals per CACFP standards, manage inventories, and uphold health and safety guidelines. Under supervision, you will ensure timely meal service, accurate meal counts, and proper kitchen sanitation.

You will also handle food ordering, maintain equipment, and complete daily food service data while representing Easter Seals values in interactions with staff and clients.

Qualifications

• Must understand recipes and be able to follow CACFP meal pattern requirements.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices for food preparation and cleanup.
• Ability to operate commercial kitchen appliances and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare wholesome, nutritious meals in quantities to meet scheduled meal times.
• Record accurate counts of meals served for each meal or snack.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the kitchen.
• Order food supplies according to the current menu.
• Prepare CACFP food reports and submit timely reports.
• Record temperatures of refrigerators and freezers twice daily.
• Complete the Kitchen Checklist on a weekly basis.
• Promote Easter Seals values and mission in daily duties.
