Job summary

CRI-Help seeks a Food Services Technician in an industrial setting (substance use disorder treatment facility). You will plan and prepare meals, supervise client crews, and ensure high nutrition daily. Travel across Los Angeles County with occasional meals for events is expected.

Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen cleanliness, strict health code adherence, inventory control, and assisting with meal ticket sales. Must meet the experience and driving requirements of CRI-Help.

Responsibilities

• Train, direct and supervise client crews in proper procedure for performance of their jobs.
• Prepare well-balanced and ethnically diverse meals.
• Maintain cleanliness standards in all kitchen and food storage areas.
• Ensure strict adherence to all health code regulations.
• Inventory and rotate food to ensure freshness.
• Adhere to posted menu. (Any menu changes must be approved by supervisor).
• Prepare meals for clients with special medical and / or nutritional needs.
• Assist with meal ticket sales.
• Report kitchen equipment maintenance issues to Supervisor immediately.
• Assist Supervisor in ensuring prompt payment of invoices.
