Job summary

Perrigo in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Formulation Scientist - Nutrition to develop nutritional formulations that meet regulatory requirements and support shelf life extensions. You will prepare prototypes, document requirements, and collaborate with Pilot Plant and factories to ensure compliance across FDA and other regulations, with emphasis on accuracy and cross-functional teamwork.

This onsite role focuses on infant products and consumer health solutions within Perrigo's formulation science

Qualifications

• BS in Science with a strong foundation in nutrition, manufacturing, algebra and chemistry; preferred BS in Food Science, Nutrition, or related degree.
• Typically 4 yrs or relevant professional experience; previous formulation experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge in Nutrition, Algebra, Statistics and Chemistry.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and competency in other Office applications; experience in SAP, SLIM, Ensur, Open Text, DOE and statistical applications preferred but not required.
• Ability to review and comprehend implications of regulations for different markets (FDA, CODEX, EFSA, HC, etc.).
• Highly focused with strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of product development processes from prototype to commercialization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritional formulations that meet technical and regulatory requirements.
• Complete data tabulation, stability assessment and technical reports to support new formulations and shelf life extensions.
• Prepare formula-related documentation required for registration of infant products.
• Provide nutritional technical support to Pilot Plant and factories for manufacturing documentation, calculations, and change management.
• This is an onsite position located at Eau Claire, WI facility.
• Provide project documentation for trial work and ensure compliance with nutritional requirements across shelf life.
