Job summary

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign seeks a Food Security & Nutritional Programs Coordinator to lead and manage the Food Pantry, Instructional Kitchen, and nutrition programs. You will supervise staff and volunteers, develop programming, and collaborate with campus partners to strengthen food security initiatives.

The role involves budgeting, marketing, program evaluation, and collaboration with multiple departments to deliver nutrition education and community services across campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Food Science and Human Nutrition, Community Health, Public Health or a related field.
• A total of two (2) years (24 months) in education, training and/or work experience in food pantry and/or nutritional program management.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate all staff including Grad Hourly Program Leads, kitchen monitors and cooking instructors, interns, and volunteers.
• Develop and maintain the online storefront and appointment system for the Food Pantry program.
• Research and analyze trends in collegiate food security programs; provide budget recommendations and revenue proposals.
• Design and deliver cooking lessons and food safety trainings, supervise hands-on activities, and maintain a sanitary kitchen.
