Job summary

Responsibilities include planning meals, ensuring nutritional guidelines, and safeguarding food safety while accommodating diverse dietary needs. The incumbent will participate in ordering, inventory, and daily cafeteria operations with a customer-service focus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic food preparation and proper food handling procedures.
• Knowledge of general kitchen equipment and appliances.

Responsibilities

• Prepares well-balanced, nutritious meals, enabling healthy participation in the program.
• Collaborate with the food service manager to provide three meals daily, with snacks on weekends/holidays.
• Plan and prepare meals on a minimum 28-day cycle cafeteria menu.
• Ensure food options meet dietary needs and cultural preferences.
• Assist in ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, and issuing food to prevent waste and contamination.
• Maintain sanitation and safety of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment.
• Provide quality customer service to students and staff at all times.
• Follow policies, procedures, and security measures; participate in mandatory staff training.
