Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is seeking a Culinary Assistant to support daily food preparation, cooking, packaging, and kitchen operations within the Culinary Department. The role works on multiple programs, events, and volunteer activities while maintaining a clean, safe Culinary Center in compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

• Culinary training or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Maintain great hygiene and sanitation.
• Clean driving record.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to organize, plan, and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Team oriented and able to work with diverse groups.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily food preparation, cooking, and packaging for Culinary Programs.
• Seal and package prepared meals for freezing and distribution.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the commercial kitchen and related facilities.
• Assist with inventory management and storage organization.
• Follow health department codes and internal food safety procedures.
• Assist with cooking and plating for programs and events.
• Support culinary volunteer staffing and shifts.
• Handle opening and closing kitchen tasks.
• Support dishwashing, trash removal, and recycling.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
• Take on other duties as assigned by leadership.
