Responsibilities include following menus, managing inventory within budget, accommodating dietary restrictions, and adhering to DSS and DHEC safety standards. Requires minimum 1 year in similar setting and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of cooking experience in a licensed child care facility, school cafeteria, or commercial kitchen.
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, fingerprinting, and central registry check as required by SC DSS.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks according to established menus and nutritional guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized kitchen and cooking equipment.
• Manage inventory, track supplies, and order ingredients within the monthly budget.
• Accommodate children with food allergies or dietary restrictions with safe substitutes.
• Adhere to South Carolina DSS and DHEC food safety and sanitation regulations.
