The position oversees media relations, partnerships with health organizations, and curriculum development to support student achievement and wellness across the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Five years of experience in nutrition-related field within the last eight years.
• Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Experience developing nutrition education materials and presentations.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and evaluate performance.
• Develop, coordinate and supervise county-wide nutrition education activities.
• Promote the department's mission and healthy school meals.
• Serve as department spokesperson and manage media interactions.
• Plan marketing plans to boost participation in school meals.
• Maintain the department website and analyze customer feedback.
