Job summary

The Capital Area Food Bank seeks a Nutrition Education Coordinator to develop and execute educational programming for our nutrition education team, with a focus on growing student engagement through field trips to our garden and teaching kitchen. Travel to DMV sites may be required to deliver nutrition education and food demonstrations.

Qualifications

4-year bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, public health or similar.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with diverse groups.
Experience developing school-based nutrition education programs.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute nutrition education programming for students and communities.
Grow and manage student engagement through garden visits and teaching kitchen events.
Travel to DMV sites for demonstrations and outreach as needed.
Assist with program evaluation, data collection, and reporting.
Support newsletters and inventory of education resources.
