University at Buffalo invites applications for a full-time, 10-month Clinical Assistant Professor position in the Nutrition Program. The role focuses on undergraduate teaching, student advising, and curriculum development within the Department of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences.

This clinical faculty position aims to strengthen teaching excellence, engage in cross-disciplinary opportunities, and participate in service activities across the School and University. August 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Earned PhD in Nutrition or related field; OR Doctor of Clinical Nutrition ( DCN ) with 2 years teaching experience.
• Evidence of teaching experience in nutrition or closely related areas such as biochemistry, pathophysiology of chronic diseases, epidemiology, or health behavior.
• Postdoctoral research training.
• Record of peer-reviewed scientific publications consistent with experience.
• Credentialed as a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.

Responsabilités

• Primarily teach in the undergraduate Nutrition Program, but may have opportunities to teach in other programs for the Department.
• Empower the next generation of nutrition professionals by offering personalized academic advising, career mentorship, and meaningful guidance to both students and teaching assistants.
• Shape the future of the curriculum through innovative course design, continuous program enhancement, and thoughtful evaluation that keeps our offerings cutting edge and relevant.
• Play an active role in advancing the department and the profession by contributing your talents to committees, initiatives, and service activities across the Department, School, University, and professional organizations.
• Foster a collaborative, supportive academic community by modeling collegiality, teamwork, and a spirit of shared purpose in all faculty interactions.
• Engage deeply in teaching excellence, with a commitment to delivering up to 12 credit hours each Fall and Spring semester in a dynamic, student centered environment.
