Job summary

Care Initiatives is hiring a part-time Dietary Aide at Chariton Specialty Care in Chariton, IA. The role supports the dietary team with meal service, tray delivery, and maintaining clean dining areas within a 60-bed skilled nursing community.

Join a compassionate team across multiple communities in Iowa and help provide quality resident meals and service. Prior food service or healthcare dietary exposure is a plus; training is offered on safety and modified diets.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food, Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting a plus!
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Serve hot and cold food portions to residents.
• Set up and clear tables; transport food carts.
• Deliver trays to rooms with excellent customer service.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary work areas.

What You'll Do & Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing all duties related to food table service including serving hot and cold food portions to residents
• Complete the set up and clearing of tables, as well as transporting food carts
• Bring trays to rooms while delivering exceptional customer service
• Cleaning duties while maintaining safe and sanitary work areas

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in quantity food preparation and service.
• Willingness to complete training in Food, Safety, Sanitation and Modified Diets.
• Experience in a healthcare dietary setting a plus!
