Job summary

CaroMont Regional Medical Center- Belmont is seeking a Relief Food Service Associate to manage patient meal service on assigned units, including menu selections and tray corrections. The role includes tray assembly, delivery and pickup, and fulfilling special requests, with occasional opening and closing of the kitchen.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, healthcare or food service experience, and ServSafe certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Healthcare or food service experience preferred.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets preferred with the ability to train new hires.
• Excellent customer service skills are a must.
• Some bending, lifting, pushing and pulling required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Familiarity with hospital ADT and computer systems.
• Must possess ServSafe Certification.
• Ability to open/close kitchen with safety as a priority.
• Must have zero corrective action in the previous 12 months.

Job Summary

Responsible for patient food service on assigned units, e.g., menu selections and corrections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick up, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery, Opening and closing the kitchen as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred. Health care experience involving food services or 2 years of experience in service industry preferred. Good communication skills, ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete simple computational skills. Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets preferred with the ability to train new hires. Excellent customer service skills are a must. Some bending, lifting, pushing and pulling required. Ability to work in a team environment. Possesses necessary skills to effectively operate hospital's admission, discharge and transfer (ADT) system and other computer-based systems, which manage patient-care records. Must possess ServSafe Certification. Ability to open/close kitchen keeping safety a top priority. Must possess the ability to lead by example. Must have zero corrective action during the previous 12 months .
