Job summary

Union Health is seeking a Nutrition Assistant on the Clinton campus. You will support dietitians, prepare and modify patient menus, and ensure meals meet dietary orders and patient needs with compassion.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Experience in hospital nutrition preferred but not required.
• Ability to work with a personal computer and health software.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and enters diet orders to assemble correct menus for patients.
• Inputs patient preferences accurately into Health Touch.
• Understanding basic nutrition and modified diets for menu planning.
• Honors patient preferences, tolerances and allergies in menus.
• Communicates with dietitians, nursing stations and volunteers.
• Ensures menus match diet orders and updates Cerner in Health Touch.
