Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year food service experience or equivalent.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• If a Food Handler Permit is required, you must obtain it within 30 days of hire or per local code.
• Licensing requirements by state may apply per location.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food according to menu and dietary requirements.
• Adhere to food safety standards by monitoring temperatures and preventing cross-contamination.
• Provide high-quality patient experience with accurate portions and presentation.
• Follow therapeutic diet modifications and allergy restrictions using diet orders and reports.
• Explain basic therapeutic diets to patients and families and escalate complex questions as needed.
• Support department operations by maintaining tools, cleaning work areas, and assisting leadership.
