Position Summary
This position provides technical support to the Food Management Group and Dietetic Services Unit within the Division of Adult Institutions (DAI) and the Bureau of Health Services (BHS). This position works with Registered and Certified Dietitians in providing medical and religious diets for the Department of Corrections (DOC).
This position functions as the DOC food service program liaison between Bureau of Technology Management (BTM), food management supervisors, dietetic services and Computrition. The position provides dietetic technological services as directed in programs that are multi-institution in scope. This includes revisions and updates relative to recipes, menus, basic nutritional analysis, modified diet inventory, Computrition user training, data management/reports and all integrated functions as they relate to Computrition as directed.
This position is responsible for maintaining of departmental records and reports including but not limited to: meals served reports, budget compliance reports, food service Intranet site, and DOC menu files. The position provides support and/or training, including the development of educational and training materials as required.
Salary Information
This position is in pay schedule and range 06-13 with a starting pay of $23.32/hour.
Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire.

Job Details
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application.
The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency of employment.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
This position is able to telecommute up to 3 days per week.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
Qualifications
Special Requirement
- Registration or eligibility as nutrition and dietetic technician registered with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics-US.
Applicants hired without the registration above must be registered within the first six months of hire and maintain it during employment.
Minimally Qualified Applicants Will Have Experience
- Using management software such as: Computrition, food/nutritional software, and Electronic Health Record.
- Utilizing Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.) or similar products
- Utilizing menu planning techniques, and quantity recipe standardization.
- Consulting on modified diets such as: religious meal practices, allergies, etc.
