Job summary

Upbring in Stephenville, TX, is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher to create a nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom for infants and toddlers (0-3). The role emphasizes secure attachments, social-emotional growth, and curriculum aligned with Head Start Performance Standards.

You will conduct ongoing assessments, collaborate with families, and ensure licensing, health, and safety compliance within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current CDA Credential in Infant and Toddler.
• Willing to obtain COR Advantage Assessment certification
• Willing to obtain CPR and first aid certification.
• Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field with at least 15 credit hours.
• One year of experience in an early childhood setting.
• CPR/First Aid Certification; Head Start experience or familiarity with standards.
• Experience working with dual-language learners and children with disabilities.
• Training in CLASS, Conscious Discipline, or similar practices.

Responsibilities

• Establish a warm, secure, and trusting atmosphere for infants and toddlers.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities supporting development.
• Maintain a safe, clean classroom and follow health protocols.
• Monitor developmental progress using approved assessment tools.
• Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and naptime.
• Engage in intentional language and interaction activities.
• Communicate with parents/caregivers with regular updates.
• Collaborate with teaching teams and specialists to address needs.
• Adhere to Head Start standards, licensing, and policies.
• Travel up to 10%.
