Qualifications

• Experience working with young children in a licensed child care setting.
• Coursework, credentials, or a degree in early childhood education preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to remain patient, calm, and attentive in a busy classroom.
• Willingness to learn and complete required training.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care and maintain active supervision of children at all times.
• Create a welcoming, inclusive, and age-appropriate learning environment.
• Plan and participate in hands‑on activities, outdoor play, group experiences, and daily routines.
• Support children in developing communication, independence, self‑help, and social‑emotional skills.
• Use positive guidance techniques and model respectful interactions.
• Follow classroom schedules while responding to each child’s individual needs.
• Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, rest time, and other caregiving routines as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom.
• Communicate professionally with families, coworkers, and center leadership.
• Document children's activities, development, and daily care as required.
• Follow all NH licensing requirements and center policies.
• Complete required professional development and health and safety training.
