Job summary

Med Center Health in Kentucky seeks a Nursing Supervisor to provide supervisory leadership and clinical support to the assigned unit(s). You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate the delivery of nursing care while representing the department and liaising with other departments.

The role promotes a work environment conducive to quality patient care and staff satisfaction and oversees performance improvement initiatives for the unit.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience as a staff nurse with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Kentucky RN license (OR) RN license in a State recognized by the Kentucky Nurse Licensure Compact Act) required effective June 1, 2007.

Responsibilities

• Provides supervisory leadership and clinical support to assigned unit(s).
• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the delivery of nursing care in the department.
• Serves as a representative of the department and is a liaison to other departments and individuals.
• Responsible for promoting a work environment that is conducive to quality patient care and personal job satisfaction.
• Makes decisions within the framework of the organization philosophies, policies, and procedures.
• Oversees performance improvement initiatives for the assigned unit.
