What we're looking for:

  • The Unit Manager provides, plans, coordinates, or manages nursing care and health education to nursing home residents on the assigned unit throughout all hours of operation, aligning with our goal of improving residents' lives.
  • The Unit Manager demonstrates the clinical expertise to supervise all nursing activities in the facility or assigned units.
  • Assesses and evaluates systems that facilitate quality resident care.
  • Uses independent judgment and discretion while adhering to facility policies and procedures.
  • Interprets company policies and makes decisions accordingly.
  • Protects Resident Rights by assisting residents in making informed decisions, treating them with dignity, safeguarding belongings, reporting abuse or neglect, avoiding physical restraints, and supporting independence and decision-making in compliance with laws and regulations.

Requirements:

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Current state license as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Specialty nursing certification preferred.
  • Management or supervisory experience in long-term or geriatric nursing is preferred; minimum experience as an LPN in such settings is acceptable.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of federal and state laws applicable to nursing in long-term care.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts practically.
  • Problem-solving skills, data collection, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to supervise, motivate, and manage staff.
  • Basic computer skills required.


Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 annually
