Job summary

Legacy Nursing in Bryan, TX is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support the Director of Nursing by organizing and supervising nursing services across the facility. The ADON will help lead staff, ensure care plans, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Qualifications include a current RN or LVN license, management or supervisory experience in long-term care, CPR certification, and willingness to assume key leadership duties.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse with management experience in long-term care.
• Experience as Unit Manager or ADON in a skilled long-term care setting preferred.
• Current state license to practice nursing and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist DON in supervising nursing care and staff.
• Participate in QA meetings, care planning, trainings and regulatory reviews.
• Plan, assign and direct work; prepare schedules considering resident needs.
• Hire, train, evaluate and discipline staff as needed.
• Monitor nursing assessments, documentation and medication administration.
• Maintain compliance with nursing standards, policies and HIPAA regulations.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families and co-workers.
