Job summary

Seneca Nation Health System is seeking an experienced Nursing Unit Supervisor to manage daily operations across the Medical Unit, including nursing, laboratory, radiology, and office administration. You will coordinate quality assurance, risk management, and compliance to meet all applicable regulations while delivering exceptional patient care.

You will oversee staff performance, schedules, training, and timekeeping, while maintaining a trauma-informed care approach and a patient-centered

Qualifications

• Active NYS RN licensure is required.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing supervisory experience.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Quality improvement and compliance experience preferred.
• Experience in a large hospital/academic medical center/tribal health preferred.
• All licenses/certifications obtained prior to hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nursing, laboratory, radiology and office staff daily.
• Ensure proper triage and in-person nursing coverage at all times.
• Create and update department schedules and staffing levels.
• Train, orient, and supervise staff; perform duties as needed.
• Develop and enforce policies to maintain high patient care standards.
• Prepare reports and coordinate program compliance with governing bodies.
• Maintain stock, supplies, and clean, sanitary workplace.
• Document patient contacts per privacy regulations and required data entry.
• Support PCMH guidelines and electronic health records duties.
• Provide direct patient care as needed and assist with examinations.
• Record information accurately and generate required reports.
• Promote a cooperative workplace and SNHS mission.
