Job summary

Hi-Desert Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Coordinator, RN, to oversee patient care activities on the assigned unit during day shifts. You will support the Nursing Director, participate in staffing decisions, provide staff training, and ensure quality patient care across shifts.

The role requires California RN license, BLS, ACLS, and prior acute care supervisory experience. You will also assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and department goals while offering coverage for leadership as

Qualifications

• Current California RN license.
• Current BLS Certification.
• ACLS required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists Director with employee evaluations and performance management.
• Evaluates staff performance using chart reviews and patient interviews.
• Set goals with measurable outcomes and time frames to improve performance.
• Develop unit goals and plans for evaluating initiatives.
• Make shift patient care assignments and coordinate nursing team activities.
• Provide direct patient care when needed and evaluate outcomes.
• Ensure staffing meets core levels and skill mix for patient care needs.
• Plan staff education and in-service training; document training.
• Handle Kronos timekeeping and payroll deadlines.
• Contribute to budgeting and resource conservation.
• Participate in CQI projects and Joint Commission prep.
• Coordinate new hire processes, education, and competency verification.
• Maintain current competencies and participate in committees.

Education
