Job summary

VHC Health in Arlington, VA seeks an Assistant Patient Care Director for General Surgical/Trauma. You will direct nursing unit administration, coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments, and report to the patient care director to meet unit goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing, RN licensure in VA or compact state, and at least one year of leadership experience in nursing. ACLS/BLS certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• One year of nursing/patient care experience required.
• One year of demonstrated leadership ability required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or compact state.

Responsibilities

• Direct nursing unit(s) administration and direct nursing care.
• Coordinate activities with ancillary departments.
• Report to the patient care director and align with unit goals.
• Maintain competency and meet performance appraisal criteria.
