Job summary

VHC Health is seeking an Assistant Patient Care Director for the 6A/Medical Stroke unit. The role directs the nursing unit in coordination with the patient care director, overseeing administration, direct nursing care, and cross-department coordination.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and is licensed as an RN in Virginia (compact state licensure may be acceptable). ACLS/PALS certifications are preferred; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• One year of experience in nursing/patient care required.
• One year of demonstrated leadership ability required.

Responsibilities

• Direct the nursing unit(s) in coordination with the patient care director.
• Oversee unit administration and direct nursing care.
• Coordinate activities with ancillary departments.
