Job summary

VHC Health is seeking an Assistant Patient Care Director for 3B Trauma Surgical IMCU. The role directs nursing units in collaboration with the Patient Care Director, overseeing administration, direct care, and cross-department coordination to meet unit goals.

An RN with a BSN is required, plus at least one year of nursing and leadership experience. Virginia or compact licensure and BLS are mandatory; ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• One year of nursing/patient care experience required.
• One year of demonstrated leadership ability required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (Virginia or compact state).
• BLS Certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct nursing unit administration and ensure alignment with patient care goals.
• Coordinate activities with ancillary departments and report to the patient care director.
• Maintain nursing process competency and ensure staff performance standards.
