Job summary

Androscoggin Valley Hospital (AVH) seeks an experienced House Coordinator to lead nursing oversight across Med-Surg, ICU, ED, Surgery, and Oncology. The role includes supervising, performing charge nurse duties, and providing direct patient care as needed during shifts.

You will round on Medical-Surgical and ICU patients every shift and at least every four hours across nursing departments, while maintaining CMS and NH standards.

Qualifications

• Current registered nurse license in New Hampshire (BSN, BS, or BA strongly preferred).
• BLS, ACLS, and Basic Dysrhythmia certifications required.
• Critical Care course required; must complete within 6 months if not present on hire.
• PALS and MOAB certification within one year; NRP and TNCC within 2 years.
• Five years of clinical experience required; ED/ICU experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, conflict management, and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing activities for Med-Surg, ICU, ED, Surgery, and Oncology per shift.
• Perform supervisory duties and charge nurse responsibilities on the Medical-Surgical unit.
• Provide direct patient care as needed in any department during shift.
• Make rounds to Medical-Surgical and ICU patients each shift and to all Nursing departments at least every four hours.
• Serve as clinical backup RN to ED, ICU, ONC, and PACU/SDS.
• Ensure compliance with CMS (HCFA) standards and NH guidelines in practice.
