Job summary

Fairview Health Services seeks a Nursing Station Technician (NA/HUC) to support nursing staff on the MS5 unit at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. The role combines nursing assistant tasks with health unit coordination, performing patient cares, vitals, transport, and unit communication.

The position works on a 12-hour night shift, 0.6 FTE (48 hours per 2-week pay period) with every third weekend. Benefits are included and hospital team provides comprehensive support.

Qualifications

• Six months of direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting.
• Alternatively, current enrollment in LPN/RN program or Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with personal cares.
• Assures patient privacy and safety.
• Responds to patient call lights and urgent needs.
• Documents care provided and reports changes to nurses.
• Maintains unit communication systems and central desk area.
• Maintains unit stock and supplies as needed.
