Qualifications

• High school diploma required; clerical or health care experience preferred.
• Desirable: 6 months clerical experience and public contact experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to handle patient information and assist with census and billing processes.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients and staff and maintain positive relationships.
• Utilize electronic communication systems for team and patient communications (pagers, badges, phones).
• Answer calls, relay messages, and update white boards daily.
• Assist in scheduling tests and appointments.
• Maintain census information and assist with admissions and billing processes.
• Participate in unit staff meetings and in-services.
