Southwest Louisiana Veterans Home is seeking a compassionate Nursing Unit Aide/Recreation to assist recreation staff in delivering high-quality care to our honored veterans. This PRN/WAE government position offers a meaningful daily impact and requires no prior experience.
Responsibilities include escorting residents to activities, conducting group or individual activities, keeping recreation carts clean, and assisting with the aviary and aquarium.
The mission of the Louisiana Veterans Home is to primarily serve the Veterans' population of Louisiana through the provision of medical, restorative, and rehabilitative services in an atmosphere of respect and compassion. The primary objective of the home is to provide quality nursing care to eligible veterans, with the ultimate goal of returning them to the highest possible levels of physical and mental capacity.

Appointment Type: PRN/Classified WAE - not to exceed 1,245 hours in a 12-month period.
