Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas, Inc. in Beaumont, TX is seeking a Clinical Secretary to manage clerical duties on the nursing unit. You will transcribe physicians’ orders, handle patient calls, and assist with chart preparation and records maintenance.

This role supports admissions and discharges, maintains unit census, posts diagnostic reports, and ensures smooth operation of the nursing station. Reasonable accommodations and a team-focused environment are provided.

Responsabilidades

• Transcribes physicians’ orders to forms and order system; ensures STAT orders are completed.
• Notifies nurse of new orders and double-checks transcription accuracy.
• Answers patient nurse call system promptly and courteously; relays messages.
• Prepares charts for new patients and maintains associated forms for hard copy charts.
• Maintains unit census and uses bed express system for admissions and discharges.
• Posts diagnostic study reports to medical records after physician review.
• Keeps nursing station clean and neat according to schedule.
• Keeps track of equipment and supplies on the unit.
