* Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a full or part-time position. Bonus amount is prorated for part-time hires; per diem hires are ineligible.

Position Summary

* The Nursing Unit Secretary performs clerical, receptionist, and regulatory duties. This role involves advanced unit participation in projects and house-wide activities. Successful candidates will possess excellent customer service skills, critical thinking abilities, and effective communication with team members, patients, and families.

This position offers either a 32-hour per week schedule with 4 (8-hour) shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, focusing on general Nursing Unit Secretary duties with one shift dedicated to Nursing Unit Helper functions, OR 3 (10.5-hour) shifts. Candidates should be flexible for occasional weekends.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Current BLS certification preferred or may be required based on location.
  • Experience: One year of hospital or healthcare setting experience preferred.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements: N/A
